Avenida Galal, Football Dogs and the 58th Nation

FDs fans thought they had seen it all but today they were treated to a new chapter when Diego lifted Coco with a powerful shot and sent him and the ball into the net.
Coco had been desperate to get into the action while he was on the sideline and as soon as he was off the lead he threw himself into the fray showing great courage and determination, sensing that anything less than that would have singled him out as a loser. When he terminated his journey into the net the owner picked him up and reproached him but Coco had that kind of smirk of a war veteran who has done his duty and perhaps in his mind FD today stood a little for Football Dogs. So long Coco!
As for the game the poor performance of the algorithm last week in the team selection sent the shares related to artificial intelligence tumbling. It was then down to Johannes and Yassin to pick the squads and judging by the score the end product of a nail baiting game was reached.
The Unbibbed back line had experience written all over it with Hannes, Giancarlo and Hossam erecting a wall in front of Alessandro with Ben and Julien ready to defend and counter helped by Christian and Matej on the sides. The latter rookie brings the 58th Nation with Slovenia. As defence was rocky and seasoned, attack was young and sprinting with Leo and Johannes creating havoc supported by Andrea and Antonio on the flanks.
The Bibbed had plenty of talent on offer and welcomed the return of the prolific Khaled Alk. expecting one of his acrobatic goals that send the crowd wild. Stopping Yassin was at the core of the Unbibbed strategy and the old guard proved they had a plan.
The Unbibbed youngsters also had a plan well executed by Johannes and Leo scoring in rapid succession with Hossam coming in for the third with a trademark header and Leo again fixing the score at 4-0. Diego with a stunning volley under the bar from the distance, a sure contender for goal of the season, stated that it was not yet game over. Marco and Khaled added substance to the remuntada and the unthinkable 4-4 looked now a distinct possibility. But Leo crowned his day with an hat trick from the penalty spot consigning victory to the Unbibbed.
The Bibbed though deserved the honour of the golden goal duly scored by Paride to leave them with a bitter sweet feeling but a clear conscience to have tried their best against a hell of a team.
Leo was unstoppable today, cynic in front of goal and restless in midfield, a modern complete footballer. You would have safely bet on him as Man of the Match today but the majority of the votes went to an household name: Hossam. He took possession of the right flank and nothing happened there without his permission. Destructive and creative at the opposite ends of the pitch, Hossam was a constant aerial threat to be reckoned with by the Bibbed defence.
Fans flocked to the road, now nicknamed Avenida Galal, next to the right side to be closer to the action of this evergreen player who embodies the values of FDs and inspire FKs.
