Football clockwork

Two appeals were made ahead of the game: Players, please (1) be on time, and (2) bring a ball. And both appeals were heard. Not only were all players on time, making for a timely start, but multiple balls were brought. Massimo said he spent a whole hour to search for his ball, such was his determination! That is the attitude and commitment that has made the FDs one of Britain’s (few) stable institutions.
The COLOURS team was formed around the Galal family. They had clearly rehearsed new passing moves all week, while Adam had added some new wizardry to his repertoire, and they moved across the pitch at high pace and like clockwork. At one point, Hossam asked Adam for a “number nineteen” move, so we know they have at least 18 other moves in store.
The Galal core was further strengthened by Yasin and Julien, with Alessandro in goal. Against this stood the BIBBED team with Massimo and Hannes in defense, plus Johannes, Khaled, and Yousuf, with Paride in goal.
A game of high intensity unfolded in front of excited fans. Despite strong defending and excellent goal-keeping the game was goal-rich, which reflected the high attacking quality on the pitch, and many flowing moves from both sides. The intensity was high throughout, and there was no respite. The BIBBED seemed on their way to a certain win, leading 7:2 at one stage. However, inspired by Hossam moving himself into a forward position, the COLOURS staged a comeback, scoring three goals in a row. The BIBBED then restored a three goal lead. At 9:6 it was decided to play the golden goal, which was scored by the COLOURS.
