Four Lions end with a draw after roaring for 90 minutes

While many FDs are sweating somewhere around the Mediterranean, four irrepressible lions got together to brave outbreaks of wind and rain in otherwise sunny Kensington Gardens.
Chetan took a break from his Cricket duties (he is now an Indian National Team Player (!)) to show what might have been in the Master Game when his defensive qualities and sudden accelerations were sadly missed. He teamed up with Julien to face an all-German line-up of Thomas and Hannes.
The statisticians calculated that the Germans averaged 10 more years of age, but this did not stop them from quickly going two goals ahead, exploiting some initial defensive gaps in the Franco-Indian team. Thereafter, however, defenses and attacks were better organized, and no team was ever more than one goal ahead.
The game waged for 90 minutes, ultimately ending with a 8:8 draw (which was judged as a fair result by the independent observers).
Thomas and Chetan scored five goals each. Julien first tried to score through Hannes’ body, but then reverted to his trademark nutmegging skills, scoring two through his legs and totalling three. Hannes also scored three, completing the final tally.
If any proof was needed, today’s game was another case in point that you only need a couple of FDs and a ball to have a magnificent time!
