Julian über alles

Every picture tells a story: the colourful FDs and FKs melting in the green, brown, yellow of the Autumn as one.
Nature is an active part of our game: when the ball hits a tree it is still in play: a bit of a static mate but we have seen one-twos successfully performed.
The game turned out to be as balanced as previous ones with both teams firing blank for the first 30’. Yet Giancarlo and Julian looked for the Orange team like a formidable partnership upfront, the former as assist man and the later as terminator
scoring a brace to put his team 2-0 up.
That was far from intimidating the ‘Colours’ who first reduced the distance with Davide, an Italian proper rookie scoring on his debut, and then levelled with a lethal header by young Giacomo. Game on!
The momentum spurred the ‘Colours’ into the ‘Orange’ half: the green wave with Andrea, Leo, Giacomo, Davide and the fox ? in the box Francesco knocked many times at the door of Fort Alamo but the eroica of Hannes, Hossam and Diego refused to hand over the keys erecting a barrier in front of the guardian Tony while midfielders tried to cage the ever mobile Yassin
with Johannes leading the counters.Much to the ‘Orange’ relief the ever reliant Julian did the (hat) trick fixing the score at 3-2.
‘Colours’ would not just have it and retaliated in no time: at one point Tony L produced an incredible save reminiscent of that Buffon did against Inzaghi in the final of the 2003 Champions League won by Milan, only a bit more difficult. The Club confirmed that after such save a conspicuous number of insurance companies asked for the permission to buy Tony’s image rights do do a major advertising campaign under the heading ‘Save and Prosper’.
By the way one of the reasons why other clubs cannot buy FDs is that our Club does retain the right to commercially exploit his players’ image exclusively and to perpetuity. May be a bit of a medioevali imposition but ‘il fine giustifica i mezzi’: not that we need it but Macchiavelli would have been a superb Club CEO.
In the meanwhile the ‘Colours’ found a way to score with poacher Francesco, but the ball was literally “handed” to him by Giacomo. VAR showed that there was handball but not deliberate and the hands were close to the body. Yet the original decision to disallow the goal stood and the score remain at 3-2 for the ‘Oranges’. ‘Colours’ were furious but, credit to them, did non remonstrate with Ref, perhaps because there was none.
‘Oranges’ though took back destiny in the hands when Giancarlo volleyed in the fourth goal with his under-utilised left foot. The data team is feverishly trying to put a date on when Giancarlo last scored: an 89 years old fan in the stands was ready to swear it happened in his lifetime.
At 4-2 and midday looming it was fair to give ‘Colours’ the golden goal chance but it was unfortunately for them a case of ‘the winner takes it all’ with Julian, who else?, scoring the fourth of the day and holding in one hand the ‘hat trick plus’ ball and the Man of the Match award.
The second most voted player was Tom who had an impeccable game on the left alleyway soon to be nicknamed by the fans ‘Tom Strasse’.Fair to say that today was a case of Deutscheland über alles.
