Long-awaited Football Dads website launched!

“A place to store and treasure our most precious digital memories, today dispersed in emails, hard disks, usb sticks and all sort of useless clouds. A website not just for us, but for the million of fans from all the world, who look in awe at Football Dads as role models and as an endless source of inspiration in and out of the pitch.”
With these words Francesco presented yesterday the first ever website Football Dads website (www.footballdads.net). The website was unveiled during FDs AGM at RossoPomodoro in Chelsea, receiving enthusiastic feedback from the old and new Football Dads attending the intimate gathering.
Designed by Francesco and coded by Milan-based t-Media agency, the new websites welcome visitors with a full-page slide show of breath-taking pictures, latest commentaries, a countdown to the next Master Game and the Top Scorers table. Inside the site, among other things visitors will be able to learn about the history of the Club, browse the Awards list and read full reports of all Master Games.

Few minutes after the launch, the website was already in the top 10 most visited sites worldwide, reaching a peak of 500,000 page views per second. While Facebook and Whatsapp reportedly crashed yesterday due to excessive Thanksgiving traffic, the FD sites remained perfectly operational, thanks to its smart design and state-of-the-art hosting platform. The hashtag #FDWebsite was trending on Twitter, with people praising the quality of the site and making suggestions for future releases.
“This is Website 1.0” said Francesco with a smile after the presentation. “Much more will be added in the near future, both in terms of content and functionalities”. He didn’t want to reveal anything but future releases of the website are rumoured to include an e-Commerce section where Football Dads-branded products will be available for fans to buy, as well as an e-learning platform where both amateur and professional footballers will be able to watch video tutorials and learn some of the most coveted FD skills, such as Luis’ acrobatic volleys, Tony Laskar’s octopus goalkeeping and Tony Sanguinetti’s no-look power headers.
Even the Royals celebrated the new website, with the official Kensington Palace account tweeting: “We are absolutely delighted by the arrival of the brand new FD website. We are long-time fans of the Club and we don’t have enough words to express how lucky and privileged we are to be able to watch their games every Saturday from our windows”
