Orange win in style adopting new playbook

The Orange team brought home a sounding victory (5-2) with a convincing performance.
Led by the ever-reliable Bijan, a charismatic captain, they appeared in control of the match from the kick off. Endi was very energetic in midfield combining tackling and passing abilities in equal measure, with a style not seen since the days of Iniesta. The Orange’s first two goals arrived in succession, first with Mohammad and later by AndreaR, both in fine form.
With Paride, Daoud and Federico the Colours were displaying an aerial strength the RAF would be proud of. Their attacks intensified, and allowed them to get even thanks to two goals by Daoud who first cleverly converted a free kick at the edge of the box and then equalised with an angled shot. A brace that puts him firmly in place to win golden boot well ahead of Harling.
Unfortunately for the Colours, that was more of a solo performance than an orchestrated effort to redirect the game. The Orange quickly realised that and took destiny in their own hands, scoring again with Francesco and Mohammad.
Incidentally this happened after Giancarlo left early, replaced by John, a young and lively 🇳🇬 Nigerian who brought to the Club the 67th Nations.
The day saw also the debut of another rookie, Alessandro’s son Marco, joining his father fo the very first time.
Understandably, it took him a while to adjust to the pace of the match. After all playing with the Football Dads is the wildest dream coming true and emotions can overwhelm even an Icelander.
Gradually he built up confidence and was instrumental in helping his Orange team, providing the assist for Andrea’s final goal, another beautiful combination that seemed taken straight from the Real Madrid playbook.
Among the many players worth of the recognition, it was Bijan to pick up the Man of the Match award. His presence all over the pitch was a defining factor for the Orange’s supremacy.
As Francesco said after the match “when I look back towards my goal and I see Bijan I know I can safely remain upfront and save what little energy I have left”.
