Paride’s determination
Paride was undoubtedly the man of the match. He was on the pitch at 9.30 to set up the goals. He invested substantial amounts on new transfers, succeeding in getting his friends Tony, Luca, and Nicolas to play with us.
The result was a most entertaining encounter involving these and other new faces.
The Colours team was appropriately formed around Paride and his friends, and further strengthened by returnees AndreaG and Anton, plus Anton’s friend David. They faced a bibbed team of established strongholds, around a German core of Thomas, Johannes and Hannes, enriched by the ABC of AndreaR, Bijan, and Chetan, plus the unstoppable Nizard.
Orchestrated by Johannes, the bibs played some flowing football to go up 3-0, but the Colours found their way back to parity. However, the bibs were able to reestablish their lead.
At 7-3, two new players joined. Paride’s team was joined by Federico. He not only wore a Neymar shirt, but even played like him for a while, scoring two goals in quick succession. But the bibs regained their composure and also recruited Andres from Spain who also scored straight away.
In the end, the bibs were able to sustain their 4 goal lead, also helped by a golden goal from Chetan, taking the final score at 10-6. Federico by that time had changed shirts twice, as you can see on the photo of four of the rookies.
Nizard was today’s top scorer, at 4. The other goals for the bibbed team were scored by one each from Bijan, Johannes, Andrea R, Hannes, Chetan, and Andres. The goals for the Colours were scored by Luca (2), Federico (2), Anton (1) and AndreaG (1).
