The Club goes virtual with first ever e-Master Game

There is a reason if the Club has never officially cancelled or postponed the Master Game scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday 25 April 2020.
The match, was revealed today for the joy of football fans all over the world, will go ahead as planned with only one caveat. It will take place online. It will be the first ever eMaster Game, or VMG (Virtual Master Game) and everyone will be able to watch it.
The e-match between e-Dads and e-Kids will start on Sunday at 16.30.
Francesco, in representation of the Dads, will challenge his son Andrea to an epic FIFA 2020 competition on their PlayStation4.
The format, decided after a long consultation and negotiation is the following: Francesco and Andrea will play two 12-minutes matches. Each match will be played like a Champions League final (including extra-time and penalties if needed) and will finish with a winner. If a team wins both matches, it will be declared champion. If there is a draw, a third, final, match will be played to decide who e-lifts the trophy.
The match will be streamed online in real time on the Club’s YouTube channel. Everyone is invited to join and comment during the match, but if you can’t join you will be able to watch a reply at any time later, and the highlights will be posted on our website.
Unfortunately, FIFA2020 doesn’t allow to edit team name and shirts, we will have to use existing teams. To respect our original chromatic choices, Dads will play with PSG, whose shirt includes a good deal of royal blue, while Kids will play with the blancos aka Real Madrid. Our shirt sponsors have graciously accepted to be replaced, for this match only, by the relative shirt sponsors of those two teams.
Also the players will be different of course, but it will be easy to spot similarities. Ben and Yasin will have a good proxy in Neymar and Cavani, while on the Kids side sturdy defender Marcello will be represented by, well, Marcelo and Johannes will have a good avatar in Eden Hazard.
The first ever eMaster Game represents a milestone for the Club, who prides in being open to technology and innovation, while maintaining a solid grip on tradition, but is certainly not replacing the traditional one! Once the lockdown is lifted, hopefully soon, the Club will firm a date for the 6th Master Game.
