The Man who outrun the wind

Bora is an infamous strong wind in Trieste (Italy) coming down ‘Carso’ plateau at a speed of 180kmm/h. When it gets past you you feel like being swept away.
This is exactly the feeling every Unbibbed player experienced today whenever Yassin
got past them at will with the ball glued to his fees, dribbling his way to goal almost in a straight line with the narrowest of twist and turns not to disperse energy in the periphery of the pitch. Like the wind Yassin was restless and accelerated like if no extra energy was required.
Yet he was not the only player to deserve special attention among the Bibbed who had a squad that could hit any opposition with virtually any member: Hossam, Paride, Thomas, Sara, Adam, Federico, Darren, Khaled, Tony S are not known to play second fiddle to anyone.
It was only when the speaker had finished listing the Unbibbed players that the aura of invincibility that had surrounded the Bibbed squad till then, started to be questioned by the ones in the knowledge.
When you have, as the Unbibbed did, in your ranks athletes turned artists (and viceversa) like Tony Laskar, Filippo, Lorenzo, Philipp, Hannes, Johannes, Marco, Jamal and Giancarlo you could be forgiven for taking any dream at face value.
Unfortunately for the Unbibbed the likes of Darren, Khaled and Yassin did not require any warm up and set the tempo at unrealistic level which turned up to be real as the game progressed.
Tony L in goal, Hannes and Lorenzo as central defenders did well to deny few times the Bibbed front men but had to concede when Darren struck in after a save by Tony L.
He then doubled up soon after and then unstoppable Khaled scored an hat trick. Midfield became a Bibbed private property with the Unbibbed denied entry and forced to use the outside lanes with long balls to reach a lonely Jamal upfront.
Whenever the Unbibbed gained a rare entry they then hit the ‘wall’, taking the appearance of Hossam whom opponents often found easier to concede the ball to rather that being dispossessed and left embarrassed when not humiliated.
It was not however a one way street as on the opposite front Jamal provided relief with a brace himself but at 6-2 for the Bibbed with one man up the game needed some rebalancing which occurred courtesy Federico swapping side.
Belief was quickly back in the Unbibbed ranks as they clawed back three goal in succession: Giancarlo scored first with a VAR assisted header from an impossible angle after a 68mt ball from Philipp.
Johannes obliged soon after with a thunder shot and Tony L impersonated poacher Gerd Muller with an opportunistic yet precious goal. The Unbibbed sensed history was just one goal away to then seize the momentum with an inevitable golden goal.
It was not to be as Yassin, who else?, added the one thing he had not yet done, that is a goal, in fact the golden to send the Bibbed singing and screaming under the showers.
When the electronic counting of the votes for the Man of the Match was terminated three names came up top on the screen: Yassin, Khaled and Darren.
To no one surprise the accolade went to the Man who made everyone believe he can outrun the wind, even with a ball on his feet.
Khaled took home the hat trick ball while Darren made sure everyone knew that he is worth every penny the Club spent to sign him up.
See you on Saturday
