Young lions and lionesses grow up
A sunny day by the pond in a rollercoaster game with your mates surrounded by a sea of fans cheering you up from start to end. Can you think of a better way to start the weekend and to end the summer?
Putting Yassin and Khaled together gave the Unbibbed the bookmakers’ thumbs up but the finest analysts pointed out the peculiar and possibly lethal Bibbed system: experience at the back, youth upfront with Leo, Giacomo and Diego D cutting their teeth against two totems like Hannes and Hossam: as they say sink or swim. And swim they did as they ended up scoring five of the six Bibbed goals.
It was down to Ben to open the score with a pointed shot from the distance. From then on it was open war with fast retaliation at both end. Khaled and Yassin with their quick feet were at times too hot to handle but the Bibbed youth front put up a superb performance crowned by a conversion rate you would expect only from the most experienced players.
Diego D scored a stunner reminiscent of Locatelli’s goal against Juventus and Giacomo even outperform him with a brace, the latter of which with a sudden turn, back to goal, giving defenders no chance to interfere.
Complemented by a goal by Leo and Paride the Bibbed went 5-3 upfront as on the other end Khaled and Yassin added to Ben’s initial goal.
The score could have easily been the other way around, had Alessandro not parried few deadly shots by the trident Jeremy T, Yassin, Khaled. Yet you cannot keep good players down for two long: Jeremy T, Khaled again and Sara with a brilliant shot took the game 6-5 up for the Unbibbed.
The Bibbed poured into the Unbibbed half pressing them in every inch of the ground: Giancarlo produced an earth to air missile which was intercepted by Tony’s radar and neutralised but there was nothing he could do against a shot by Leo which sealed the game to a just 6-6 as both team deserved victory.
The Man of the Match award saw an unprecedented number of contenders: Alessandro, Giacomo, Leo, Yassin and Khaled but the name to top the list was that of Sara. As always she was a thorn in the side but this time she decided to sting as well with a goal of rare precision that the Bibbed defence could only watch shaving the bottom inside near post.
